Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Co., Ltd. (GPEC) was founded in 1956, formerly known as Fushun Design Institute of the Ministry of Petroleum Industry, the Second Petroleum Refining Design Institute of the Ministry of Petroleum Industry, Sinopec Luoyang Design Institute, and Sinopec Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Company.
